To its core, visual storytelling is my strongest skill set as a journalist. Before studying journalism, I was always an avid portrait, studio, lifestyle, and travel photographer. I brought my expertise in camera work into my studies and honed my abilities as a storyteller. I am confident in shooting, sequencing, interviewing, editing, and ultimately solo-producing a standalone video story.

Over my two years in BCIT’s broadcast and online journalism program, I gained invaluable experience taking the video stories I produced and repurposing them for radio and web articles. In today’s media landscape, multiplatform storytelling is the only way to engage audiences — and these videos demonstrate my capabilities.
